Accomodation/Facilities

Captain : The cabin of a captain is generally connected to his office. He has a lavish accommodation, with special couch, table, chairs, a double bed, a TV set, a fridge, a shelf in addition to his cupboard. He is also given a bathroom with a bathtub in it.

Chief Engineer: The Chief Engineer enjoys similar comforts in his cabin as the captain

Chief officer/2/E : The 2^nd engineer and the Chief Officer enjoy similar comforts like, sofa, double bed, fridge, shelf etc.

Other officers: All other officers and engineers get a single room to live in having a fridge and sometimes a TV set as well

Ratings: The ratings get normal accommodation comprising of single bed

Not to mention the whole ship is air-conditioned.

4 officers on board are allowed to carry their family on board, they are ,The Captain ,Chief Officer, C/E & 2/E The company pays for the expenses of the family for a stipulated period. If the family wishes to stay beyond that period the expenses have to be bourne by the officer which still is not a very costly affair.
