INDO's

What is INDO's ?

It is a computerized national database for quick reference by statutory authorities such as Flag State, Port State, Immigration & Employers etc. to prevent fraudulent issue of certificates. The database will include address, photographs, signature & telephone etc.. Henceforth, no seafarer with out INDO's No. will admitted to any course other than three month pre-sea training course.

What is the advantage of INDO's NO. ?

The advantage to sea farer will be that he would not need to carry original document while training ashore. for e.g.. presently, a second mate has to undergo seven modular courses and one competency course for which he has to carry all his original documents. Once he has the INDO's certificate, he would not have to produce original document for admission to course anywhere in India. Further, in case of loss of original documents, INDO's will help in getting re-issue of duplicate certificates. Not withstanding INDO's, seafarers will still need to carry original document while serving onboard ship.

How do I get INDO's NO. ?

For those entering the profession INDO's numbers would be allotted by the  College itself when a person joins a pre-sea training institute that conducts approved pre-sea training courses of three months duration or more.

                                                               cdc

 What is a C.D.C

“C.D.C”  stands for  Continuous  Discharge Certificate-cum-Seafarer’s Identity   Document. Every seafarer is required to have a CDC if he wants to work on ship.

how do I get it ?

Any person, who fulfills all the eligibility conditions for the issue of a CDC, may apply for the CDC.

Presently  there is no need for the students to apply for a CDC personally, since the institute itself applies for the CDC in which the student completes his pre sea training. This is applicable for both 10+2 as well the BE. Degree students.
