Basic Training Courses :    Mandatory for all Seamen

Basic Training Courses are mandatory for all. Mostly these training courses are conducted by the training institute itself            

1.FIRE PREVENTION & FIRE FIGHTING (FPFF) 

2.PERSONAL SAFETY & SOCIAL  RESPONSIBILITY (PSSR)  

3.PERSONAL SURVIVAL TECHNIQUES (PST) 

4.ELEMENTARY FIRST AID (EFA)

Specialization Courses : As per STCW Requirements

These training courses are needed to be done as one’s rank gets upgraded. They are conducted at various institutes for a fixed sum of money and on particular days of the week. The duration of the courses range from one day  to ten days depending on the course. Details regarding the fees and the course duration can be found at the training institutes .

ADVANCE FIRE FIGHTING UPGRADATION (AFF U)  

RESCUE BOAT UP GRADATION (RB U) 

TANKERS SAFETY COURSE (TASCO U) 

  GLOBAL MARITIME DISTRESS & SAFETY SYSTEM (GMDSS) 

MASTER'S MEDICARE (MMC)

 ELECTRONIC CHART (ECDIS) 

PASSENGER SHIP'S FAMILIARIZATION (PSF)    

REVALIDATION FOR NAVAL OFFICERS (MR)

RADAR AND NAVIGATION SIMULATOR COURSE (RANSCO)
